Summer Internship Program 2019
We are looking for 1-2 summer interns who is/ are interested to get hands-on experience in assisting the community Expressive Arts Therapy program in the coming summer and the opportunities in understanding more about Expressive Arts Therapy.
Position: Community Expressive Arts Therapy Service Assistant
Assist Expressive Arts Therapists in running Expressive Arts Therapy community program
Perform administrative duties required to prepare for the Expressive Arts Therapy community program
Ad-hoc duties that required by management
Students studying in a field related to psychology, counselling, social work, social sciences, healthcare, education or any arts (VA, Music, Dance, Drama, Writing) disciplines is preferred.
Fluent in English and Cantonese
Empathetic, playful, detail-minded, flexible, creative and enjoy working with different people and service users
Good computer skills and MS office skills
Intern period : Late June to August 2019

Hong Kong Expressive Arts Therapy Service Center (HKEXAT) is the first non-profit making organization that uses Expressive Arts Therapy mainly as its therapeutic intervention in Hong Kong. HKEXAT was found by Registered Arts Therapists, Expressive Arts Therapists, and Master of Expressive Arts Therapy of the University of Hong Kong. Expressive arts therapy (EXAT) is a multi-modal intervention approach integrating various arts, like visual art, music, drama, dance/ movement, creative writing, that fosters therapeutic outcomes of body-mind- spirit in a supportive environment. We believe in the power of arts in facilitating creativity and potentials, promoting growth and changes individually or in group. We also believe that everyone has the capability in art-making and the self-healing potential; thus, everyone is cable to create and be benefited from expressive arts therapy.
