Artist Biography

Frances TANG, Harp

Graduate of BBA in Human Resources Management; MBA and MA in Global Business Management at City University of Hong Kong; MS in Social Science (Education) of Leicester University, UK. She got her MA in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University and then won the prize of Trinity Scholar to study a master’s degree in Harp Education and Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. During her study at Trinity Laban, she was the harpist of Trinity Symphony Orchestra and did recitals in Europe like UK, Spain, Italy and France. She won both honourable mention prize for senior group (harp solo) and chamber music group (harp and vocal) of Rising Stars Grand Prix - International Music Competition Berlin, Germany, in 2017 and 2018. Frances is now the owner of Arts and the City Harp School Hong Kong, principal harpist of Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra and organist of St. Jerome’s Church of Hong Kong. Frances is enthusiastic in harp education in Hong Kong. She published harp ensemble music book series written by Melissa Calusio and CDs played by Melissa and herself. She also arranged harp ensemble performances for more than 50 harps for kids and did harp recitals in many churches and educational institutions. She gave a few harp performances for the Cultural Plaza program of TVB Hong Kong.

 

Eunice SUEN, Soprano

Eunice SUEN is one of the young professional musicians in Hong Kong. She obtained her Master of Arts in Music Education and Vocal Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, and Bachelor of Music in Opera and Vocal Studies at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. There Eunice was awarded a scholarship to take up music training in Berlin, Germany. As a talented performer, Eunice is competent in performing an extensive range of musical works. Her operatic repertoire includes King Arthur, Giulio Cesare, L’incoronazione di Poppea, Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Idomeneo, Die Zauberflöte, Carmen and A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, Aïda, Eugene Onegin and so on. Besides theatrical works, she also gives regular recitals and concerts. She was an active member of the Philharmonia Chorus (London). Numerous performance opportunities led her to many world-renowned halls including the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall (London), Chapel of King’s College (Cambridge), Palau de la Música (Spain), Beijing National Grand Theatre and more. Eunice is a certified Vienna Boys Choir pedagogue since 2015. Her reputation as an experienced teacher and performer is recognised when various music competitions invited her to be a member of the jury. Eunice won first-prize of various vocal competitions and honourable mention prize for senior group chamber music group (harp and vocal) of Rising Stars Grand Prix - International Music Competition Berlin, Germany, in 2017 and 2018 and did singing performances for the Cultural Plaza program of TVB Hong Kong.

 

TANG Hin Wah, Violin

Tang Hin Wah completed his bachelor and master degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Afterwards, he received a scholarship to further his studies with Dr. Rimma Sushanskaya who is the last student of the legendary David Oistrakh. Upon his return to Hong Kong, Tang continues his studies at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and graduated with distinction results. In 2017, Tang received another scholarship to pursue his Master of Music degree in the prestigious London College of Music, Tang finished all performance subjects with distinction result, a higher distinction was given to his final recital. Tang is the holder of the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (L.R.S.M.) Violin Performance Diploma and the Fellowship of the Trinity College, London Violin Recital Diploma (F.T.C.L.). Tang is an active solo violin player. Apart from solo performance, Tang has also participated in numerous orchestras such as City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as well as the Macao Orchestra.
