Tang Ying Mui, Grace
Tang Ying Mui, Grace was born in Hong Kong, Graduated from BA (Fine Art), Goldsmiths College, University of London and MSC, University of Westminster, UK. She had lived in the U.K. for more than ten years, after returning to Hong Kong she has been working as an artist.

Tang uses un-advanced technology, unsophisticated skills and materials (wire and packaging tape, plastic wrapped wire, textile fur, etc) from the industry to build up works and explores the fragile condition of humans existence, the external and internal boundaries built around people.

She has been working on a project called "A call from the pre-historic time" which involves the four basic elements in survival: clothing, eating, shelter and mobility, to explore the way of living and the system in society at our modern age.

Besides making art works, she is an active member in the area of art promotion:

She is the founding member of MIA group, organizer of Arts Containers Projects in West Kowloon area, receiver of the Arts Development Council Education Award, founder of Front/Side gallery to provide an independent space for Hong Kong artists, promote art to the public and nurture of local art collectors.
