Literary giant Professor Yu Kwang-chung (1928-2017) was widely known for his poems and proses, and has a deep influence over Chinese communities all over the world.  His works have long been hailed as poignant expressions of emotions and convey a strong sense of musicality.  Several of his poems and essays are included in language text books, and more have been set to music by composers in the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  This programme is a meeting of poetic verses and musical notes.  Vocal works written by composers inspired by Professor Yu’s poems in the last 30 years or so will be interlaced with the inspirational words of the poet himself.  Be transported to and immersed in the world of the Muse.
